SHOULD I BE AFRAID FO THE FUTURE?

2012 Geophysical disasters, global warming, robot uprising, zombie apocalypse, overpopulation and last but not least the end of the Mayan calendar – humanity faces many threats! Will we survive the end of the year? And if we do, what’s next lurking around the corner? What is science fiction, what is science fact?

Should I Be Afraid of the Future comes both as an infographic (a poster) and a web version and sheds light into the world of possible (plus a few impossible) existential risks. Playful in tone, the project is full of serious information mitigating (most) fears and providing an optimistic outlook into the future. As to, in the words of Bertrand Russell, “stand upon our own feet and look fair and square at the world – its good facts, its bad facts, its beauties, and its ugliness; see the world as it is and not be afraid of it.”
